About Pink Mandala
What Does the Name Mean?
The word "mandala" is from the classical Indian language of Sanskrit. Loosely translated to mean "circle," a mandala is far more than a simple shape. It represents wholeness, and can be seen as a model for the organizational structure of life itself--a cosmic diagram that reminds us of our relation to the infinite, the world that extends both beyond and within our bodies and minds. Describing both material and non-material realities, the mandala appears in all aspects of life: the celestial circles we call earth, sun, and moon, as well as conceptual circles of friends, family, and community.
From Mandala: Journey to the Center by Bailey Cunningham, The Mandala Project
Pink is a soothing color on all levels, physical mental and emotional levels. It can be used to soothe conditions of anger and feelings of neglect. Pink can be used to awaken compassion, love, and purity. It can be used in meditation to discern greater truths. It is comforting to the emotional energies of the individual.

As the mind and soul behind Pink Mandala, Aine applies 20 years of journalism, marketing and public relations experience to the challenges of building web sites with a holistic emphasis. Aine is a certified feng shui practitioner, having trained in Interior Alignment Instinctive Feng Shui, as developed by Denise Linn. She specializes in working with businesses and individuals which emphasize self-actualization, spiritual transformation, creative expression and respect for nature.
Aine is a lifelong spiritual seeker and was geeky before geekiness became cool. As an 8-year-old, she was the kid who was always founding clubs so that she could come up with catchy names and slogans. At 10, she published The Snoopy Times, which was produced in longhand on notebook paper but would now probably be considered a "zine."
She began studying computer science in college after discovering an aptitude for debugging scripts (in other words, finding missing semicolons and other punctuation). However, she soon tired of using punch cards and depending on a mainframe, so she changed her focus to communications. During the decade after her graduation, PCs became widely available and desktop publishing techniques were invented. In every work environment she encountered, Aine became the go-to person for computer assistance.
When the internet took off in the early '90s, Aine rejoiced. She began creating web sites professionally in 1998 and continually researches techniques and tools for making sites quick-loading, intuitive and accessible.
